At TLC we recognize that we can never fully understand the experiences of those who have faced discrimination. However, we are committed to creating an environment free from discrimination and harassment, protecting all stakeholders from any form of discrimination or harassment. We will provide ongoing education and training to our stakeholders to prevent discrimination and harassment and ensure everyone is treated with dignity and respect. The Platinum rule is a principle of interpersonal communication that states: “Treat others the way they want to be treated”. It goes beyond the traditional “Golden Rule” of treating others the way you want to be treated and instead focuses on the individual needs and preferences of others. The Platinum Rule acknowledges that people are unique and have different communication styles, preferences and needs. By treating others the way they want to be treated, we can build stronger, more positive relationships and minimize misunderstandings or miscommunications.
